Default New User - Wireless Calendar Sync without BES

Please Login to Remove!

Aplogies if this has been addressed before. I'm a new BB user and love it except for the inability to sync my calendar wirelessly. My company does not have BES, and does not plan to. I am connecting to webmail to get email, so how can I sync the calendar?

Via usb cable or bluetooth with your pc. Unfortunately thats the only way without BES.

Two points:

1) It seems like a pretty big hole in the offering. Surprised no one has solved this yet. Is it hard, or is RIM unwilling to do it?

2) When trying to sync using USB, I keep getting a runtime error.

Love the Blackberry, but without calendar sync...

1) You'd need a constant connection to your calendar wherever it is stored in order for the regular customer to have that option. And then you start running into all sorts of problems

2) KB-01451 (Livelink - Redirection) will walk you through enabling advanced logging and then you can see which record is causing the problem. When you get to Task 5, open up the tif.log file and scroll to the very bottom. In quotation marks, the last line will have the subject of the record that is causing the crash. Look for that subject line in your Outlook Calendar.

RIm has BES Express. Consider your hole plugged?

Really ... get your powerpoint presentations ready and sell the BES to your company.
