Default SMS from Cingular RAZR

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to the Blackberry world and I have a Cingular 8700c. I have so far been able to receive text messages from both Sprint and Cingular with one exception. My Girlfriend has a Razr through Cingular and for some reason I am not getting the messages. She is receiving the ones I send her from the BB and replying to the message doesn't work either. I've tried deleting her from my address book and I've looked at the settings I can find but as I'm still a newb I'm not sure if I am missing something. Does anyone have any ideas?? Thank you for your help!

If you've received messages from other people on Cingular, maybe the problem is on her end with her Razr. Has she been able to successfully send messages to other people?

Yes, she is able to send and receive from multiple carriers. I've ruled out every possibility I can think of and the only time it doesn't work is when she sends me a text. Both phones (the RAZR and the BB) work perfectly otherwise. I'm lost.....

This may sound trivial, but check how your number is stored in her phone. I had a friend who stored my mobile # as *67########## and voice calls obviously worked, however text messages never did. Apparently SMS doesn't like the *67.

Just my $0.02 ....
