Default 8707v + t-mobile usa = no browser service books?

Please Login to Remove!

i recently purchased an unlocked 8707v for use while overseas on ebay.

while my email works fine, i'm having problems getting browser service books sent to my phone. i've changed my handheld using the t-mobile blackberry setup web app, i've registered my handheld numerous times, and i've resent service books numerous times (via the web app)... but still no browser service books (and as such i can't surf the internet).

i normally use an 8700g on t-mobile usa, have a blackberry plan, and use BIS (not BES). i am having absolutely no problems at this time when i use my 8700g.

i tried my friend's cingular sim in my 8707v and everything works fine within seconds of start up - browser service books, internet surfing, etc.

has anyone had success with the 8707v and t-mobile usa?

I have the 8707v . It does not seem to work with tmobile usa ,because of posible preset issues . I also have the 8700g . What I discovered is you have to flash the 8707 before you attemt to setup anything with a flash on tmo' site . Worked for me . But my unlocked 8707v was bought with tmo germany service and data plan ,while I was in stuggart. Btw is your data plan is enabled ? Your security settings might also be the cause of that issue. Hope this helps. Seven.
