im sure this has already been asked a couple times but is there anything that i can download that would allow me to have individual ringtones on my 8700? cuase right now that all it needs to be perfect.

Or go into your address book, select the contact, edit and place your curser next to phone number push trackwheel and select "Add Custom Tune"

I'm using the Verizon 8703, and it plays mp3s as ringtones just fine. I would recommend clipping down your mp3 file to 15-20 seconds.

As for loading the tones, I had to host mine on my personal webspace from my ISP. Then browse to 'em from your berry and save 'em. The mp3s will now show up in your music/alerts list when you are selecting various tones.

Nevermind. Looks like you have to download them via the web browser.

I did exactly this. Took an .mp3 and cut it down to 20 seconds, hosted on my web server, and tried to access it from my phone. It said it was too big to pull up on the BB internet browser. Do you put it on your server just as .mp3?

For example, www.mydomain.com/song.mp3 ?????

Thats I tried, no luck.

thats what i did when I did it.. put it in my server as a mp3 and it opened up a player in the browser window, then i clicked the trackwheel.. first option was save..
