Lost Ability to USe 7130e as Tethered Modem
Please help. I recently lost the ability to use my 7103e (Verizon) as a Tethered Modem. Seems the phone will dial out and then the phone hangs up right after connection and I get an error message to change network settings.
Same thing happens with internal modem so I am not sure what the problem is. Both wireless and wired networking is fine.
I have checked settng and compression and flow controls are off. Does anyone have any suggestions.
It's hard to say but it sounds like you have some hung software. If you know the name of the process that is trying to use your modem, you can go to the task manager and stop it. If not, try rebooting by turning off your pc; that should release the modem.
