For some reason, when using the search feature to search for contacts to txt, or just in general, all of a sudden, it no longer works.

Some addresses work, and I had a feeling it had something to do with categories, so I deleted those, but to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem? It's very strange.

I want to stress that it did work before, perfectly well. Now it just seems heavily bugged or something. I have made no updates, by the way. This is not the result of...anything, it seems.

EDIT: I am not only referring to the "Find:" feature at the top of the address book app, but even when putting in a name in the email compose screen to email someone. It seems the whole backend search database is messed up or something. If I want to contact someone, I need to scroll through my entire list of names and then take the action.

try taking the battery out and the sim card out, re-seat the sim card and put the battery back in

I was having the same issue with one of my boss's 8700. I took out the battery and sim card. That fixed the problem. Hopefully the fix will stick for a while. Thanks!!
