I have a user with a Blackberry 7250. He can send and receive mail but he can not reply to a message unless he opens it first. I don't have this problem on my 8700. I am not sure.

did u update u software to 4.1. If yes compose icon no longer. What you do hit message and hit c then u can compose. Their is a way to get compose icon back but i don't know

This is a new installation of 4.1
