I have a new 7230 and am experiencing an issue when I try to load software. I am getting an error that says the device is full and cannot hold more data.

The handheld filesystem is full [J:0x0000000D]

As I said the device is new and has no data other than the OS. The device is very slow. I was able to get to the options-->Status, where it says there is zero bytes available. I have done a soft reset and a hard reset. I have uninstalled all the software on my PC and reinstalled and re-run the set-up programs. None have been able to free up space. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried a hard wipe using javaloader or jl_commander and a reload of the OS? I had a couple of users experiencing something similar to this with their 7100s.

I have not tried a Java loader. Could you tell me how to use this?

The 7230 is a way old model and has only 16 MB of internal memory, and even that is shared by the user and the OS. If you have a lot of emails saved or any text documents you might be out of space.

The device had been working fine for sometime until this issue arose. The BB had about 9MB free when this happened.WHen this started happening I had not installed any additional programs. There were only a few emails and messages.

I did a javaloader -usb dump and that seems to have solved the problem. THanks
