Default BES for E-Mail, USB for Calendar / Contacts ?

Please Login to Remove!

I have corporate e-mail through a BES server. I am wondering if there is a way for me to have either:

1) two calendars/contact lists on my blackberry (one via BES server, and one from home computer via USB sync)

OR

2) have the BES e-mail function work, and have only a single calendar/contact list, but have it sync to my home computer -- and NOT ever get loaded onto the BES server.

The idea is that I need to have e-mail from work, but do not want to put my personal calendar & contacts on a work computer... But I want them to be available on the blackberry (I do not need the cal/contacts to sync wirelessly).

OR, an alternative might be to use a 3rd party software program to run two calendars (ie: one via Blackberry's internal system, and the other as a separate software program)?

Thanks for your help!

Based on previous posts I thought it would at least be possible to turn off 'wireless sync' for the calendar and contacts and then sync those components to my computer via USB (and not wireless) -- and to do this while still having wireless e-mail function. Is that now different because of a software upgrade?

Again, IIRC your service books will be affected when you sync with your home PC.

I think you might be able to pull off a USB sync at home if you install DM/Intellisync with the BIS option, however, I can't guarantee anything as I have no need for this sort of arrangement and can't test it out. Again, I don't recommend assuming that anything on a company owned, BES-connected Blackberry is private.

I'm glad I read this, I'm about to activate a BB on BES and some of the questions I had.

Reading the replies, am I correct that there is no way to keep Contacts on a BB that are not sent to the BES server?

An additional question, can a BB manage BES email and also manage a personal IMAP or POP3 email account, keeping the emails separated?

Thanks!
