Default Phone droput when using handsfree BlueTooth

I have an 8707v and am trying to connect it to my in-car BlueTooth handsfree kit (Parrot CK3000). Connection is made OK but when I am on calls, after what appears to be a random amount of time (usually around a couple of minutes), the call and connection just drops out. The handsfree kit worked perfectly for my previous O2 and for my partners Nokia so it would appear as though the issue may be with the BB.

I have seen other posts that some devices have problems with the BlueTooth dropping out - is this a known issue with the 8700 series? Any known fixes? BB wont talk to me and my carrier (Optus) say the problem isnt theirs and arent prepared to escalate to BB!!

I had a few dropouts and it was interference from outside sources. changed the BT to a Plantronics from Motorola and it seems to work. I dont know why. The Motorola works fine with another phone. Might be a wierd interaction with the BB
