Default BIS and Gmail - Email Contact Lookup Question

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a question regarding email and my contacts....

I've noticed that when I start typing in a person's name into the 'TO' field in a new email, the names that come up to select from are only those listed in my address book - as opposed to those listed in Gmail.

Hope this makes sense....

I always thought this would link to my Gmail contacts. I'm finding that I have to go back and add someone to my address book if I want their name to be prompted as I'm typing an email....

I'm hoping there's a way to rectify this.....????

Thanks!

the email contact look-up works with your local contact in your address book.

you can export the contact from gmail, import to your outlook, and synx to your bb.

since you are using the BIS, it is the way to do. May be some experts would provide some better ideas.

BES would sync your contacts, calendar and email. However, you get what you pay for.

Nope. This is exactly why RIM is able to sell BES.
