Can someone please tell me if on the 8707v, the gmail.com inbox overview page will update automatically when a new email arrives? Cos I want to have that page open sometimes and wonder whether it will push the email out on that page, same behaviour as on a desktop computer.

Why are you visiting the Gmail via the web browser instead of setting up BIS to push the email to your BlackBerry?

I'm not doing this since I am not using a BES or BIS at all. Using a sim card with unlimited data with its own APN instrad of going through any BB mail server at all. Can I push out my emails even without having a BES setup? Like mail2web.com does on Windows Mobile.

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? If so, you get a free BIS account. You can configure your your BIS account to push email to your BlackBerry. Much easier than accessing via the browser. If you dont have a BlackBerry data plan you will have to continue the way your doing it now. And no, the browser will not automatically refresh so you know when a new email arrives.
