Default Voice Mail, how do you know if you have voicemail?

Please Login to Remove!

I have to call my VM in order to see if I have a message.

If I'm out of range, which is most of the time (stupid TMobile), how do you all know if you have VM?

Since the phone doesn't beep or anything...

Do you just have to call at random times throughout the day?

Thanks

If you have voicemail waiting, you should have an icon in the upper left corner of the screen that looks like:

If you have upgraded to the new voicemail system in your area, you will have a small tape-looking icon. If not, you will get a text message.

Either way you shoud see a missed call.

Does anyone know the timetable for the new voicemail system to rollout? TMO apparently is still on an old system they acquired when they bought another carrier out (so I heard)

Los Angeles just got the new voice mail, last week. Now I have a voice mail icon instead of the text message.

you heard correctly.

down here (GA), we used to be PowerTel which was bought by Voicestream which was namechanged to T-Mobile... we've had the icon notification for almost 10 years now (when PowerTel was first founded)...
