Does anyone know if the 7130e is compatible with corded headsets form other manufactures? I tried an old corded headset, Nokia I think, and it did not work.

I believe you have to use one made for blackberry. However, I wouldnt even invest in that. Go with a BT headset if possible. You will enjoy your device cord-free
