Just got my first blackberry, downloading just fine from the server, but want to use desktop manager.

I have 2 notes accounts on my PC though, and when I try to synch with the second one ( the one on the blackberry) it goes pear shaped.

can find the file, but it doesn't like the server address i give (i am specifying the correct one by the way)

can anyone help?!

Ok, new blackberry 7100 series.

Installed desktop manager.

Blackberry activated via enterprise activation no problem.

problem occurs when trying to synch (using desktop manager) with one of the 2 mail files I have. I can select the mail file using the lotus notes log in screen that appears. Can enter the password fine, and have entered the server name.

Click ok to bein sync, and get the error message: The blackberry server is either unavailable or has been specified incorrectly. Try again?

I can only assume this is because I have 2 mail files. All the details I have entered are correct (have over 20 BB's running on the same settings, but only 1 mail file on those computers)

Hi this happens to me daily and its a pain.

I have two listed as my server - the url (blackberry1.xxx.xxx) and an IP of the same server (10.xxx.xxx.xxx).

When the url is up I get the error and switch tothe IP and login fine. When the IP is up, I get the error and switch to the url and get in fine.

Its annoying but works.
