| Back to BB, is 8700V as good as R? Please Login to Remove! I recently sold my 8700r for an experiment with the new Nokias (E61 & E70). I also briefly owned a Pearl (for 24 hours) but couldn't stand the SureType! The Nokias are well made and extremely full featured but they're also very buggy, quite complicated, and also quite slow.
I am preparing a glorious return to a BB 8700 since I don't think I can wait for an 8800. I have found an unlockable 8700V but am wondering if there are any big differences between the V and the R?
As soon as the 8800's are released I'm sure the 8700's will plummet in price, so I don't want to buy another new one. I just can't wait to get back to the simplicity, speed and reliability of the BB platform.
