Question Question regarding 8703e internet usage.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all.

I'm a proud new owner of an 8703e. I decided to buy it last night after a rough trip into Treo territory for about a year. Anyways, I love the device.

I was curious about one thing though. Since I'm almost positive that internet browsing burns up airtime/minutes is it necessary to somehow disable a connection to the internet after one finishes browsing?

Thanks.

Browsing does not use minutes. What BB data plan did you buy? Most people have the unlimited data package so it doesn't matter how much data they use. Not to mention you can turn off only the data. You can turn off the wireless radio but that kills your phone service also. If you have the unlimited data package, don't worry about it.

Oh really? That's good news considering I do have the Unlimited Data Package.

Ahhh, yet another aspect of BB that pleases me for having shelved my Treo.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

I too am a proud new owner of Sprint's 8703e blackberry as of today! This phone is absolutely amazing. I used a TReo 650 for about 2 years and I will never go back. I am currently using the phone as modem and the EVDO speeds are incredible! I am still learning the in's and out's of this thing, but I am truly happy I made the switch. The true push email is outstanding.
