Default Can I change the email acount display name?

Please Login to Remove!

I have set up my personal email account on my 8700g. When I receive an email, it notifies me... but because I have a long email address, it does not have enough room to display how many email messages have been received.

In other words... when you scroll your cursor across your screen, there is text at the bottom that says "Address Book", "Call Log", "Calendar", etc. When I scroll to my email, it shows my email address... but it fills the width of the screen... so when I get any emails, I cannot see how many.

QUESTION: Is there a way to change what it says down at the bottom of the screen? So.. instead of showing my actual email address, can I change it to say "Home Email" or something?

Thanks for all your help!

Yes, there is an easy solution to your question. In fact I had the same issue when I first setup my BlackBerry.

If you are using BIS, BlackBerry Internet Service, just log into BIS from a PC. After you enter your user ID and password a screen will come up with your email info. Look on the right side of the screen and click on the "edit" choice.

You will then be presented with a screen that displays all your email info. There is a "name" field there. That's were you can enter anything you like.

Cheers...
