Default Changing behavior of [Default] in composing messages

Please Login to Remove!

(Did some searches, didn't find this precise issue.)

I am set up with both BIS and BES: BIS is wmt@gmail, BES is wmt@company.

Since I had BES added (I had started out just with BIS), the "Send Using" field is listed as "[Default]".

Most of the time, Default means my BES account (aka "Desktop"), which is fine.

But I've noticed recently that some email addresses in the TO: field will default it to my BIS. This is good in some cases and bad in others.

Does anyone know how to alter the default behavior on a per-email address basis, as the BB seems to be doing, or at least how the BB determines such a link with an email address?

TIA.

PS - Just for completeness, let me note a few things:

-friend1@companydotcom is now defaulting to my BIS account. This occurs whether I use the "C" shortcut from the home screen, compose from messages list, use my addressbook, use the "lookup" feature to find it off the BES server... etc and so on.

-friend2@companydotcom, who is also in my addressbook from when I just had BIS, defaults to the Desktop (BES), as it should.

Default

I don't think you can set this on a per-message basis. I think it bases the default email account to use based on your history. You can set the "regular" default in Options->Advanced Options->Message Services.
