Default Help - Annoying Green Flashing Led

Please Login to Remove!

I have just received a new 8700 from my company. When a network is connected (i.e. always...) the green led keeps blinking. This is terribly annoying especially in the evenings when you do not want to look like somebody out of star trek, and you do not want the thing to capture your attention (and everybody else's...) every 5 seconds either. Does anybody know if this is an option that can be switched off ? I am quite happy with the red blinking when new messages arrive. The alternative is to hide it, but then I can not see the red blinking

I think that I managed to do this on an older blackberry, but this was a while ago and a different model, and I can't remember how.

Many thanks I hope somebody has an answer.

A

I don't know how to disable it.. but it doesn't bother me at all. Only sometimes when I'm sleeping, that's why I would put it under the pillow hahah.

to turn it off go to:

Setings > Screen/Keyboard > LED Coverage Indicator (Set to off)

Hope this helps! Welcome to the forums!

Fantastic !

Thanks pspiegel, it works !! Sometimes it is very difficult to find these settings, and the rubbish documentation does not help. You guys helped a lot.

flash24 - you do not need to hide it under the pillow any more

matta,

Good one! I was having the same issue with an 8703 that I just got and was covering it up with a piece of cloth when it was on the nightstand...

I turn the LED off at night and turn it back on in the morning.

Wow - you're hardcore. My BB doesn't even come into my bedroom. Auto-off @ midnight and back on @ 6am
