Default Changing email services

I dont know what forum to put this in but I have 7290 black berry that connects a BES server. Anyways it is able to recieve messages and all but when trying to compose a email said this service is not avalible. Well I then changed the message services from desktop to webcleint and it worked!! thing is I think it needs to be desktop. So i go back to message services and change it to desktop but it WONT SAVE. Every time I try to change it to desktop and save the option it just goes back to webcleint any ideas?

Speak to your BES administrator.

Have you tried syncing your Blackberry via Desktop Manager?
Maybe one of your service books is missing/corrupt.
