Was having problems with "block erase 6 reset" and tried technical fix previously reccomended without success. Therefore, decdied to wipe handheld and re-load OS and BB Desktop Manger through Verizon, and restored back-up.

Now, two new issues:

1) Rather than counting # of new messages, homescreen device e-mail icon has a negative number that seems to be calculating total # of e-mails in inbox and deleted e-mails. Any fix?

2) Although device previously charged through car charger, it no longer will charge but through USB connection.

I'm not an IT guy, but a BB user for probably 10+ yrs. Would greatly appreciate any not too technical advice.
