I am looking to acquire a 7105t from a friend who is upgrading but the problem is that I have Cingular service. Question is, will there be any compatibility issues with the T-Mobile software on this phone and my service provider if it is unlocked? I am in the middle of a contract and I can't switch to T-Mobile right now, but I really like the phone.

There shouldn't be any issues once you have it unlocked, but you will need to get your friend to call T-Mobile and have the PIN/IMEI released so that you'll be able to use it on Cingular's network and get the full potential from the device.
