Red face 8700c - microphone too sensitive?

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a BB 8700c from Cingular and it's OK with one exception:

If I'm in a noisy area such as an airport, moving auto etc. the person on the other end of the call gets way, way too much volume.

It's to the point that my wife won't speak to me if I'm in the car (OK, that's not all bad) or an airport.

I don't seen any adjustments on the phone to change or adjust this feature.

Any ideas out there?

I have the same problem and have heard many others complain too. My solution was to buy the "noise cancelling" boom microphone headset. Its not cheap - I paid over $100 for mine about 3 months ago, but its been worth every dollar. Good luck.
