Do you have a Blackberry Internet Service (Web Client) account set up on your blackberry? Generally speaking the BIS server would poll your Verizon email server approximately every 15 minutes, hence the delay. Do you have a blackberry email address set up on the device as well? What you could try is setting up an auto forward from your Outlook Express to the Blackberry's own email address for quicker turnaroud. Try doing a google search for "outlook auto forward" to see about setting it up so that Outlook Express will forward a copy of all incoming emails from the Outlook Express server to your Blackberry's own email address (firstname.lastname@example.org). Just an example to think about.
Hope this helps.
