Default Huge Delay Receiving Emails

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7130e and Verizon Fiber service. I just switched to Verizon using Outlook Express for email. Verizon won't let me send email to Outlook and the blackberry at the same time. It's one or the other. So my Blackberry has to check the Outlook account. Is there anyway to have it check that server more often? It takes forever to get email on the BB. It shows up on Outlook 20 to 30 minutes before the BB. What can I do??

Do you have a Blackberry Internet Service (Web Client) account set up on your blackberry? Generally speaking the BIS server would poll your Verizon email server approximately every 15 minutes, hence the delay. Do you have a blackberry email address set up on the device as well? What you could try is setting up an auto forward from your Outlook Express to the Blackberry's own email address for quicker turnaroud. Try doing a google search for "outlook auto forward" to see about setting it up so that Outlook Express will forward a copy of all incoming emails from the Outlook Express server to your Blackberry's own email address (john.smith@verizon.blackberry.net). Just an example to think about.

Hope this helps.

Default You are a Genius!!!

Thank you very much for your help. I didn't think anybody had an answer for me. I set up a forward rule in Outlook Express and it works like a charm!
