I setup a users blackberry 8700c activated it on the BIS server all is well but I guess it's no retrieving all the emails. Also it seems emails are not getting sent to his hand held like if someone sends him a email it just goes to his outlook. Anyone know how to get it to retrieve on the Hand held? It's already activated and has all the address book and things like that. Much is appreciated thanks!

Load Desktop Manager software and be sure the Redirector settings are set to forward. If the email accounts are on something like Yahoo, you need to set them to forward also.
Are you sure it's a BIS and not a BES? Options may be different and the user can set the redirector to only sync with the BB when directly connected to the PC.

Keep in mind, email isn't instantaneous. The delay is about 15-20 minutes.

Does he have a BB data plan? If so, then make sure the IMEI and PIN are set up in BIS, along with all of the email account info for each email address.

Try sending a test message to and from each account to make sure you can send and receive.

If everything is set up correctly and no email has hit for an hour or so, resend the service books.

I sent a email on it and it came up as the email sent via what is setup in exchange and yes it is a BES server sorry about that. I just need to get the email to direct to the handheld is what I'm thinking. any suggestions?

Can't help you with BES. There are several BES gurus here that can however.

Yikes -- always avoid using Redirector (though it's not really relevant here).

So no mail at all is getting to the Blackberry? You might want to check the filters to make sure that delivery wasn't disabled as the default. If email in subfolders isn't getting to the Blackberry you need to create filters to forward the mail in the subfolders.

how would you go about doing that? I mean I figured BES is suppose to do that but it's not recieving.
