So i bought a 7130e (verizon) used off ebay. the memory was clear when i got it (or i think it was) but then i set up my blackberry e-mail and whatnot but i'm still recieving the previous owners e-mails and appointments. its freaking annoying and don't know where to start to try to stop it. thanks in advance.

and yes i'm new. and yes i searched (a lil). i'm new to BB's but i've had treos and the Q previously.

Do you set up your log-in on verizon's site? It sounds to me like you need to delete the previous user's information and reset it for yourself. These accounts are set-up by using the PIN and ESN numbers (found under your battery or in the "about" section"

yea i set up the blackberry/verizon e-mail. but i still get his stuff. i wasn't sure if "wiping the phone" would fix it. i figured the PIN was a set number for the phone. thanks.

The PIN and ESN numbers are unique to the device. Kind of like your SSN. Wiping the handheld should do it, but you will lose all of your settings, ringtones, etc. Did you go into Settings/Options/Owner? Also look under Settings/Options/Advanced Options/Service Book. The Service Book should contain your BB email address. Make sure the previous owners' email is not in there.
