Anyone know of a way to save SMS msgs. to PC?
 

Hey folks - has anyone come across a way to save SMS messages from the phone to the PC? Pointers to How-tos, hacks and/or extensions are welcome! Thanks, Foosball

I don't believe that's quite possible yet other than when you make a back up it stores them in the backup file.

There is third party software that will do it,

Thanks for the replies. I opened up the backup log with a text editor [EmEditor] and was able to access much of the data. It does look a little bit munged up, but that's to be expected. Here's a sample:

Please do post any links to 3rd party solutions, though, I'd be interested in making the backup data more readily accessible.

I don't know how to specifically save the SMS to a PC and I see you already have some answers to it, but if I need to keep and SMS (for whatever reason), I actually email it to myself. I choose "forward as..." then choose email and email it to myself.
