Default Have a BB 8700 Sprint - what does 1X mean?

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to search on 1X but it was too short so it would bring anything up. I just got my BB 8700 from Sprint. What does 1X mean? Is there a 2X or 3X?

It is your wireless coverage indicator. More info is in your users guide but the lower your signal is the less icons you will see

1XEV full coverage (everything available)
1X no high speed data
1x no email no browser
D same as above

It means you need to read your manual before posting, and then read on Sprint's website as to where you can get 1XEV coverage on the Power Vision network.

Actually I didn't. I searched forums, my manual, and google before asking any questions. KTHXBYE.
