Have you tried checking your devices "browser configuration" settings to allow for scripting and other types of configuration when dealing with html settings?

Go to your Internet Browser icon, click the trackwheel, go to Options and then under Browser Configuration and General Options to see if any changes in settings will help.

Generally, I've not known that Blackberries can receive HTML emails but I could be wrong.
