Default 8700g exact same dimensions as 8700c?

I'm wondering if the 8700g has the exact same dimensions including button placement and all that as the 8700c. I read someone commenting that 8700c cases do not exactly fit the 8700g. That is my experience as well with a 8700c case I recently ordered (it doesn't fit my 8700g well). It seems that people often sell cases for the "8700 series," as if they all have the exact same dimensions, but if the models are slightly different then a distinction should be made. Can someone who knows help out? Thanks

housing will fit back on forth for all 8700 models. however you will need a different keypad for G housing. even though the keys are in the exact same place, the shape of the keypad is slightly different. c and r are the same. so if you have an 8700c and want 8700g housing you will need the keypad too, otherwise everything else works perfectly, its the same unit. only cosmetic changes.
