Default Adding a signature onto my emails?

Please Login to Remove!

I am now using my companies email on my 8700 and it is working great, but now I am having to type in my name, company, city and state, toll free number, cell number and email at the end of each email. As you can imagine I am getting really sick of doing this already. Is there anyway for me to set up an auto signature to this email? please help, and thanks in advance

If you use BES, I am not too sure how you can set your signature.

However, if you use BIS, you can log in your BIS page of your wireless provider, and edit your email account in order to add the signature. It will become your default signature on every single email you send out from your BB.

Additionally, you can create an auto-text for your signature on your BB.

I am NOT on BES but I *think* this should do the trick...

Go to Messages >>>> Options >>>> Email Settings>>> > Use Auto Signature

Then select YES...

For BIS you can do this...

Log into your BIS account (via your providers website) and add the signature from there

Auto text... go to Options....auto test , push in track wheel and select new.

i use the combination zz and it inserts my entire signature as I have defined it. Also have other signatures set up for a variety of response under diff letter combinations..

I looooove auto-text signatures. I'm so nerdy that I have a separate correction for each line of text and I mix and match them as needed.

if you're on BES, all you have to do is go into the email messages, click on options, and select email settings. there's a option for auto signature, select to yes and put whatever you want your sig to be in the box, and every outgoing mail will include that sig.
note: this is for your email thats on BES only, if you're on BIS, like the others have said, go into your carrier web site and change the option.

That really is such an important piece of information. I use both, but wow - if we only knew this, along with autotext, from the very beginning, I would have so much time to pick my nose. It is fun learning on your own, but things like this just make life a little smoother.

The solution you got works: (Go into Options, change autotext to YES. You have to type your signature one time.) I sent a message to myself. I did not see my signature in the 'Sent Items', but it was in the email when I received it.

Also, if you create an 'Auto Text' entry, you can insert a signature to any email:
xxx8226;Select xxx8220;Optionsxxx8221; on the Home Screen.
xxx8226;Select xxx8220;AutoTextxxx8221;.
xxx8226;Cick the Track Wheel, scroll to xxx8220;Newxxx8221; and click the Track Wheel
xxx8226;Under the word xxx8216;Replacexxx8217;, type the shortcut you will use for your AutoText entry (for example: sig1).
xxx8226;Under the word xxx8216;Withxxx8217;, type the signature you want to see in every email.
xxx8226;Click the Track Wheel, select xxx8220;Savexxx8221; and click the Track Wheel again.

To test it out, compose an email. Type your shortcut and press the return key. Works every time.

I'm very new (1st day with the 8700g BB) and I'm pretty sure I am on BES, but there is no "email settings" section in the options part of the messages menu on my machine. Like wickhamz wrote:

I did implement the autotext approach (using zz), but under my autotext sig is the automatically included "sent by my blackberry" sig. Is there any way to get rid of this and use the sig I want to use?

The email text at the end of all emails can be set using the Desktop Manager
the default is " Sent from( or via ) my Blackberry Handheld"

Hi,

Thats all great but what if you want it to use the company sig that pulls from exchange. Is there a setting on the bes so that each person's sig just pulls down automatically instead of having to type it ut manually?

thanks

I'm on BES and have changed the option in Email Settings for Autosignature to Yes and added my text but it's not adding my signature to messages. I've sent a couple of tests to various addresses but to no avail.

Any ideas from anyone?
