I might be repeating things said before but its my first BB. O.k. I just got an 8700 and I am currently wiping the thing. I made a mess up> It was wiping itself and I thought this would take 10 minutes or something. Problem is I removed the battery one and put it back in. Now I have the red light blinking fast and the little sand clock turning over and over. Its been almost an hour and I removed it again and I still get the same problem (???). Is this normal and am I being impatient or have I messed it up and if so, what would I do? Kinda lost. I've decided to let it run its course but I am still unsure if its functioning ell. Anyone help....

while its doing this, i plugged it into the pc and it detected a blackberry device but did not connect to it. Any ideas or did i just kill my blackberry?

BTW i can reboot it by doing num+alt+del but it keeps coming back to the same area and I also have control of the backlight using the top button

Figured it out. Remove battery, connect the Blackberry to the PC and run Loader.exe (Path indicated) and voila. U lose all data though

Programs / Common Files / Research in Motion / AppLoader / Loader . exe

Thats the same as Application Loader in Desktop Manager, I believe...glad you got it going.
