Smile JUM 528 Error?? Newbie Question!

Please Login to Remove!

I'm the proud new owner of an 8700r for the past two weeks but as a technopeasant, I've encountered a couple of wrinkles which I'd appreciate some advice on.
On a few occasions I've pulled the unit from the standard holster and either the eggtimer has been rotating or I've seen a blank screen with a tiny message which I think says "JUM 528 Error". (The font is so small I'm guessing this is what it says)
I've tried to power it off to no avail and ended up each time removing the battery - reinserting it and powering down that way.
As a real estate agent, this non-functionality really concerns me as the 8700 provides all my calls, pages and e-mails and I have no idea if it's out of service unless I pull it out and check it periodically.
Any advice or recommended solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Rob

Read the forums on reloading the OS. It sounds like it may be corrupted. The Os can be reloaded form the Desktop Manager easy. You do need to do a wipe first and that can be found here also. the 8700 BB's are generally stable.
