Default another google maps ?

Please Login to Remove!

Installed it ok ans seems to work fine until ive looked for anything more then 3 0r 4 locations

then it seems to stall and I get a message saying

"network unavailable - this program requires a data connection and will retry automatically. in the meantime please check your signal strength"

My signal strength is fine thank you very much

Only solution seems to be to delete application an re-install - then all is well until ive looked for another 3 or 4 places

any ideas folks ???

Google maps has been the bee's knees for me since it first came out. Periodic updates have made it better. If you have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, you have the latest version. Are you receiving e-mails reliably? Are you able to browse to lots of sites?

Are you on a BES server where there may be a policy restricting this particular kind of traffic? What about the built-in firewall? Perhaps your BlackBerry isn't allowing the trafffic...?

No p0roblem receiving e-mails - no problems with web access (apart from my company blocking things like e-bay etc)

just seems strange that after deletion an re-loading it always works

your company may be blocking google maps for some reason, i also believe that the way it works on a BES is that the IT policy is pushed to a device at a set interval, so it is possible that by deleting it and reinstalling it google maps is able to work until the latest IT policy is pushed and sees it installed/renders it useless... could be wrong though
