7100i Cancels Meetings

My Blackberry calendar is synced to my Outlook calendar. When I create a meeting I have a 2 hour reminder. When I use the Blackberry to change the alert to 10 minutes, it sends a cancellation notice to all the attendees. Any suggestions?
