I understand what you mean, and because it's a BES-based (thus, "global") dist list, there's not a way to work around it.
Global dist lists actually have their own "To:" e-mail address associated with them, and they actually forward to you indirectly.
I have the same issue on certain dist lists that I'm on.
Sorry there's not a solution...
