*Sigh* Problem w/7230 from Ebay Alright, so my mom bought a 7230 from Ebay for my sister for Christmas. I didn't know otherwise I'd try to stop her. My sister has Verizon, the BB says T-Mobile (but is supposedly compatible) and of course there is no SIM card included. Did my mom just waste her money? Please help us. -Lisa |
If she's sticking to VZN yes. Two completely different networks, VZN is a CDMA based technology where as TMo is a GSM technology. |
so she'd have to switch to T-mobile for this thing to work? I doubt the ebay seller would take it back. |

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about your BlackBerry mix up. This forum is a good place to buy used and new BlackBerry's. I have a 7250 that was used on Alltel's network (CDMA) That is For Sale $70. You can read about it in the Buy Sell Trade threads. They also have some Verizon BlackBerry's For Sale as well. Hope things work out for your sister. |
The only BB's I have purchased on Ebay were for repair of some defective units. Never expect a full working unit. |
Ebay is always a risk. Its hit or miss |
You might look here , but I would only buy form someone who has been here for a while. At least you would have the feeling they would be honest to another member. |
I say try to resell it if you can't return it to the seller. eBay is the WORST place to buy cell phones since most of them either do not work or are stolen/found. Good luck. |
