Default YAK-ON or IM+

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, I am getting ready to purchase either Yak-On or IM+, one is $20 and the other is $50...I only need it for AIM...which do you guys prefer, is IM+ worth the extra $30 as far as the functionality and reliableness of the connection is concerned?

thanks

I find IM+ to be the best of the bunch, I also use AIM, Jabber and MSN so it was a no brainer for me if you just need AIM Yak-On also makes a great app. There's also Ramble IM for AIM which is free!

I used to use Yak-On since majority of the people uses it.

I like it. The only reason I am not using it now is, I decided that I really don't want to IM people while on the phone. I rather do it on the PC. That where tethering comes in handy.

The thing I like about Yak-On is that it supports Aliases. I don't see an option for that on IM+. I'm so used to seeing names on my buddy list instead of screen names. Is there anything that IM+ has over Yak-On in terms of AIM?

I have been using Yak-on for about four months and it's almost flawless, the only downside is, it eats your battery life. IM+ is good too, but it's a little pricey.
