leaving Bluetooth on effect battery life?
 

If I leave Bluetooth turned on (on the BB) when I'm not acutally using a device, will I wear down the battery faster?

The BT goes into sleep mode but, yes, it does use some power. I have mine on 24/7 and it does not use enough power to worry about.

I agree with Greg. I used to turn off BT all the time to conserve battery life, thinking that it had a significant impact. It really doesn't, though, compared to other uses of the BlackBerry. Leave it on.

...I'll third that. I leave Bluetooth on 24/7 and while it does have an impact, it's pretty negligible in my experience.

The only thing that I'll add to the above is that the only time I turn bluetooth off is when I have a weak network signal, because the minuscule power drain of using bluetooth seems to noticeably aggravate the power drain caused by the BB trying to drag in a weak radio signal.

This, like so many things, might just be my imagination, however ;-)
