I have had a BB7100g for about five months and I have never been able to sync with Outlokk. I just downloaded the 4.2 desktop and I was able to do a backup but still could not Synchronize. As soon as I try I get an unknown error message. Any thoughts or recomendations would be greatly appreciated. I read about a possible corrupt file attachments in your appointments but could not locat anything.

Blackberry Desktop Manager>
Highlight address book>
Make sure Microsoft Outlook is highlight>
at the bottom under Folder Name, make sure there is an entry looking something like this example (only an example for address book)
Mailbox- last name, first name\Contacts
other entries should have calendar, notes, or tasks at the end in place of contacts.
If that doesn't work let us know.
As soon as I hit configure sync, a box with a red and white X pops up saying unknown error reported.
I would first try UNinstalling your desktop manager and reinstalling it.
