Hi,
I've just arrived in Sydney Australia. My 7290 (running v4.0.2.32) is detecting the signals for Testra, Vodaphone and Yes Optus and I'm receiving voice and text messages fine. However there is no email service in or out. I've been here before and don't recall having any problems. Does anyone have any suggestions about what may be the cause and cure. Thanks eeene.

Does it show gprs, GPRS (all caps) or EDGE on the top row?

Set Network selection mode back to Automatic if you set it to manual. Remove battery for 2-3 minutes. Put battery back. Let blackberry try to find the network. Chances are it will work.

Berry One, thanks for your help. I had set it to manual. So, I've tried your advice.

However my bb is still having a hard time finding a network on its own. (Although my local Aussie cell is showing plenty of signal.)

I'm going to move to a new location and see if it works it out during transit. I'll log in again in a few hours, so I'll let you know how it goes.
Best eeene.
