Unhappy 7100G and Bluetooth

Has anyone used this phone with the new Mercedes for the Bluetooth connection? Mercedes told me I must have software version 4.0.0.219 but my phone has a later version 4.0.2.56. Cingular tells me that version is not available but Mercedes will not guarantee it will work with any other version.

I have understood that the bluetooth on the BB7100 is ONLY compatible with bluetooth headsets, not BT keyboards, not BT data transfer, not BT VAD dialing, not BT anything else other than headsets.

I may be wrong, and if I am, someone else will surely answer and set us straight.

Thanks, I hope you are wrong. Merecedes actually lists the 7100 as compatible on their website. It is the software version that is the problem.

I stand corrected about your BB not BT synching with anything other than your headset. It will sync with other items, such as your desktop--I just don't know about your car. So ignore my answer, sorry about that.

And I not sure where to find the answer you need.

Default most stable bT headset for 7100t

i have a working bb 7100t with os 4.1.0.309.
In the next few days, i am planning to buy a bt headset for this. Any recommendation when it comes to audio quality- receiving and transmitting and battery usage? jabra?Sony ericsson BTs?Motorola H300,500,700s?
It seems that from these threads, the moto H series BT headsets has not been that stable pairing with BB.
Your help and recommendation would be very much appreciated.
