Unhappy Blackberry & O2 PAYG .. Please Help

Hey guys,
Please help me, I have just bought a new Blackberry 7130v and am trying to get the WAP to work on O2 pay as you go. I have entered the APN settings into the TCP area & rebooted but still no luck, it says at the top "Data Connection Refused" and when I access the browser i get a message reading "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries" Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device"

I rang O2 but they just said they didnt support blackberry on O2 PAYG, I don't want email and stuff just WAP!!!

Sorry; no help possible. Without a BlackBerry Data Plan, you will have no data at all. No WAP; no Internet. Nothing.

Data connection refused means your device isn't authorised to use the blackberry apn.

In order to get a service book sent this needs to be activated but that would mean paying a blackberry tarriff.

Not sure how you get around this as it appears you only want the o2 wap browser, which will then use the o2 active apn for connection but have no way of getting it unless you have a friend with a blackberry enabled sim which will allow the initial download to happen.

I think they answered your question, you must buy a data plan. There is no "workaround" or shortcuts.

Sorta like buying a car and refusing to purchase gas or oil... You can enjoy your car, but you won't be using it's full capability until you fill 'er up!
