I wiped my 7100i, then reinstalled the newest software and noting has changed? what to do?

also i read you can take the phone back to the service provider, but im with telus and its a nextel phone! am i screwed?

Best solution - take the unit to a Sprint/Nextel repair shop and get it replaced. Replacements for this issue are FREE.

Take it back to the store and for $55 they will mail it back and in 24 hours you will have a new one!

I'm using an 8700g with T-Mobile on BIS and all I did was power off my device and when I turned it back on, I had the above error JVM error 102.

How do I go about wiping the handheld when all the screen says is JVM error 102? I did a search and found a link on javaloader and the page to download the javaloader had been removed. Any suggestions????

Nextel had a large batch of these phones go bad and they are replacing them for free at any Nextel service store. We just had two replaced

Thanks for your input but I found the javaloader. It is that the link that I found either here or on pinstack for the javaloader had been disabled because nothing was there. It seems that everyone's replies were late. Once I installed the javaloader, I was able to perform the wipe and reload the os.

Since I purchased the device from someone else, I was unable to send it back for a warranty exchange to get another device. I'll just use this one for now. Hopefully, that new 8800, 8900, or whatever it'll be called will be released soon. At that point, I'll get a new device unless I continue to have problems with this one. I have used the BB for several years and this is my first experience ever with this.I'll follow up with the exact link to the java loader, so that the next person that runs into an issue won't have to go on a "manhunt" as I did to find it.

Had this happen to 3 of my 7100I blackberries over the holidays. Was told by Nextel it's a hardware issue and you need to replace the Blackberry

My company has all but gone away from the 7100's with Nextel because of this issue. Unfortunately for Nextel subscribers there isn't much else to choose from and probably won't be in the near future.

We've reloaded 3 of these this week alone due this error.
When it comes back, everything seems to work except it won't synch emails, we're on BES with Lotus Notes.
Address book, calendar all synch up nice and I get new emails, I just can't synch them with the emails that are sitting in the inbox.

I really don't want to replace them if I don't have to.

any ideas?
