Default Another Newbie Question Again.....

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings,

I did a search and was unable to find the answer, which is why I made this post.

I have a BB 8700c and I was under the understanding that with SMS Messaging, someone can send both text and pictures. I asked a lady friend of mine to send a pic and text and all I received was the text. The 8700c doesn't support pics? I asked because I thought it was multi-media enhancement.

Thanks for the advice given.

Wink

You should have a link in the mess? Follow it and it will take you to the photo sitting on your providers server.

Anyone remember the posts some time ago about how Cingular was not supporting MMS on some BlackBerrys. Or am I confusing that with other MMS issues?

SMS with pictures = MMS, right?

I never recieved a link within my message? I guess the 8700c doesn't support pics when SMS.

Also, can someone tell me how I can delete previous messages/e-mail as a whole instead of deleting each individual message/e-mail.

Scroll to the top date.
Click the wheel and select "Delete Prior".

The 8700 does support MMS. Cingular doesn't.

He's not asking how to add pics to his BB but rather if it supports MMS like when someone takes a picture using their phone and sends it without having to compose an email.

So Cingular doesn't support MMS at all?

Cingular DOES support MMS - but not on some BlackBerry models. I do not have a list.

Ask your provider if your account covers MMS

I had the same issue with my 8700 in the UK on orange - my account wast activated for MMS - one phone call and all is well
