Default 7100g Performance Issues at New Year

Newbie Alert!

I support multiple users for our company, and have a few 7100g Cingular users
reporting thier hourglass' hanging forever at startup, this has supposedly started at the New Year (2007). Does anyone have any ideas?

They are connecting to a BES and users with newer models are not noticing the degraded performance...I'd appreciate the help:

Similiar problem at our office. I too support multiple users with the 7100I Nextel users. We had 3 phones crash over the new year and had to be replaced. We were told it was a hardware issue.
