Unhappy Compatibility Issue w/ VZAccess and Vista Business?

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased an 8703e from Verizon and attempted to install the VZAccess Manager and Desktop Manager on my windows vista business PC. Every time i attempt to run the app i get a compatibility issue error and vista crashes. Is this happening to anyone else? If so does anyone know of a fix/workaround?

Official Response from VZW:

Thank you for contacting our Verizon Wireless website. I am happy to assist you with your installation of VZAccess Manager.

I would like to apologize for the issues that you are having with installing your VZAccess Manager software to your PC Unfortunately, at this time, none of our software or drivers currently support Vista. Verizon Wireless is committed to providing the very latest in products and services.

Verizon Wireless is currently testing Microsoft?s new operating system, Windows Vista, for compatibility with our products and services. While Windows Vista ?has already been released and is available for business customers, at this point in time Verizon Wireless does not directly support all Verizon Wireless Data Products on the Windows Vista OS. However, Verizon Wireless will provide support for compatible data products and services in conjunction with Windows Vista mass-market launch in early 2007.

Currently, I am unable to state when the officially released and completed version of Vista will be supported by Verizon Wireless. We understand and apologize for any frustration regarding this but we are only able to provide information regarding products or services that we are currently offering. We are unable to disclose any unconfirmed information because it would be subject to change and could raise expectations that may not be met.

If you would like to receive e-mail updates regarding new products and services, please click on "Sign up for email updates" from the "Support" tab located at the top of our www verizonwireless com homepage.

If you have further questions or concerns, please write to us again through. We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless.

Sincerely,

Verizon Wireless

It isn't like Vista is a real surprise. I guess the Verizon team was asleep at the monitor for a few years?
