Question BlackBerry 8800 Screen Resolution?

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know which screen resolution the BlackBerry 8800 will have?

Also I would like to know which movie resolution would be optimal for the 8800?

I guess the screen will be bigger than the Pearl's but what would it be? 320x240 like 87xx series isn't that good tip because RIM must be on the top of what's possible as the BlackBerry's screen was always one of the best mobile screens on the market.

Right, I have found the specs but not the actual resolution. Could you please paste me an URL or sth like that? I have really no idea what resolution the 8800 will have.

Yes 320x240 is what I found too. I suspect the same resolution will yeild the same excellent battery performance. I am not unhappy with my 8700c screen resolution!

Actually that resolution is just an assumption. If you compare the size of the 8700 with the 8800's you will see that the aspect ratio seems not to be the same. So I guess it goes more to 320x260 or 320x280....

Or the pixels are just a different size.

The Pearl and the 7130 have the same screen resolution but the Pearl viewable area is much smaller. I wouldn't be surprised if the 8800 and 8700 have the same resolution but different viewable areas.
