Default Blackberry Web Service "upgrade"

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I have an 8700c for my work email and phone. I had added several personal email accounts (eg sbc yahoo) under the old version 1.8 web service and it seemed like my mail got pulled down fairly often from (eg) the sbc yahoo server to the handheld, maybe every 10 or 15 minutes <?>. Well, for months now, the 1.8 web service has been prompting me to upgrade to BlackBerry Internet Service version 2.0, which has some new features but gets rid of the web mailbox i could look at before on a p.c. Today I finally succumbed and accepted the upgrade. When i sent 4 or 5 test messages to a newly added email account, I had to wait what seemed like a noticeably long time for them to come down to my 8700c. All this is a long buildup to my 2 questions: (1) Is there any difference between the 2.0 and 1.8 web service versions as far as how frequently the newer one polls mail servers for added email accounts? (2) If anyone knows how often the 2.0 server checks, do you know that from reading at a website somewhere, or is it not public information? Thanks for any thoughts. (PS, I know this kind of issue has been discussed in earlier threads, but I neglected to find any discussion in the context of changing from an older to a newer version of the Blackberry web service.)

1.8 polls every 15 minutes. 2.0 should poll more frequently for active accounts and every 15 minutes for accounts that aren't busy receiving mail.

Should be the same time, 15 minutes for inactive. I am sorry to have lost the email storage on the internet.
